Insurance Information
Our insurance coordinators have extensive experience dealing with many different insurance providers. Some companies offer a wide variety of different dental and medical plans with rules and exceptions that are not always easy to understand by the insured.
Some companies combine dental and medical coverage in ways you might not expect. This insurance alphabet soup is an ever-changing stew of policies and guidelines that changes on a weekly basis.
At times, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate our patients' insurance co-payment, let alone the total coverage, but our expert staff always gets to the bottom of the matter before you arrive for your procedure.
Many insurance companies will not give out fees until after the treatment is completed, which can be a terrifying, budget-busting proposition. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time consuming, therefore, as a courtesy to you we handle these matters as part of your dental plan. We only ask that you keep us informed of any change to your insurance.
Co-PaymentAll co-payments are payable when you check in at the front desk.
Private & Group InsuranceAs a courtesy to our patients, we will always file your insurance claims for you. We always wait for receipt of insurance payment before we forward any balance due to you for remittance because we understand how difficult and confusing these things can be. If you have deposited a co-payment larger than required, it will be refunded to you upon payment from the insurance company, guaranteed.
Financial InformationWe send monthly statements to patients with an outstanding balance as a matter of courtesy. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks, so it is possible that you may see a statement with an outstanding balance even though you know your insurance will cover some portion of the payment.
Please call our office if your statement does not accurately reflect your insurance payment.
For your convenience we are able to accept Visa and MasterCard. If you have any problems or questions, just ask our staff for assistance. We are well informed and up-to-date on these matters. We can be reached by telephone in Seattle at (206) 623-4031 or in Kirkland at (425) 821-9595.
Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit.
